But about the dryer, those that are complaining about it not fully drying the clothes didn't read the manual and notice the default mode is "energy saver" that uses less heat and takes 40+ minutes longer. Not sure how that saves energy when down here in Texas gas is much cheaper than electricity but I immediately turned that feature off and now it drys clothes great.
Much better than my 10 year old Samsung front loader gas dryer anyway.
It doesn't have a stainless steel drum but for the price it does the job great.

gimmicky? probably. but damn that would be nice. lol
that said, if it breaks im going to repair it probably, I read heating element will be what dies and I can swap it out for cheap according to google.
I have a whirlpool cabrio washer I bought 6 years ago. I LOVE it. it's large, top load, everything comes out clean, my water bill went way down, and energy efficient. it did start squeaking w water but I bought a new inlet/mainlet water thing off amazon for 25 Bucks. it fixed it. took 20 minutes to figure out how to replace.
I really like my cabrio.

TL;DR Costco hooked up my gas dryer for free, and this was only two weeks ago.

Leaning towards this for the obvious $100 savings and see no negative to not matching the dryer to the washer.
