The outdoor cams are designed terribly if you want to hardwire it. The cable will protrude to the front of the camera so one would have to bend and loop the cable backwards to run it along the base and wall.

The IQ's were the only ones that could have the wire completely hidden.

Can non-Costco members expect to see similar pricing at other retailers between now and/on BF? Looking to buy 3-6 at $100/unit or less. Paid $100per for 2 refurbished at BB in July.

I'd avoid these big time. Google has destroyed nest. The app (google home and nest for that matter - which these don't work with, but is less bad) are terrible now. Alerts, and opening the cameras are horrendous- especially if you have many cameras. Google also changed out continuous recording which was the nest best feature - yes its still possible but browsing the continuous camera is trash

It's a stupid shame that IQs were discontinued. 4K, better quality, worked with the actual Nest app... Now you can't can't find one used for under $600

Yep.
Almost makes me want to take my 3 down and sell them. I like them, but wouldn't mind the money. Then I think could I make due with just the google home app….nah.

Although, I will be forced too at some point and then, I would be sad I didn't sell them when they were worth more.

I bought the two pack last year and regret it. They don't integrate with nest app nor my nest subscription for my hardwired outdoor cam. I wish I had learned of that prior to my purchase. I suggest avoiding them.

You can flip the camera to change the direction of the cable. Then in the settings tell it to flip the image

These will not work with the nest subscription? I pay for the base plan ($6/month) for my doorbell and Google nest hub max, but if I bought these I would be expecting them to be under that plan as well.

I have a combination of older nest products with the new flood light and it pulls up the live feed fine in Google home. Occasionally, it may not be able to load properly, but I just reopen the app. Considering all these being wifi devices, it works pretty well overall. You will need to subscribe to nest aware for 24/7, been like that for awhile.

Camera orientation is not the problem. This is the issue, see the first picture here https://www.pocket-lint.com/smart...ew.amphtml
(it won't let me link Google images)

Also, Google home app is a mess and terrible compared to the Nest app.. would recommend avoiding the new cameras for a year until they fix the Home app

I haven't used these cameras specifically but I've helped some friends setup the new doorbell and it seems to work well for their needs. I guess time will tell on how well these devices hold up.

Totally agree. I really regret not buying when they were available. Never thought Google would cheap out and go the downgrade route with each new generation. They were going for over $200 each back then so that was my reason but if I had known what would happen a year or two later, I wouldn't have hesitated despite the price especially when they work so well with the old Nest app.

I never got the IQ, but I got these and some regular wired Nest cams. The wired are better in practically every way. Better resolution, wider field of view, faster connection time to the live view, better app (both show in the Home app but the battery ones only in the Nest app). The supposed lack of wire doesn't help any, because they need to be charged so often that I keep them plugged in.
