Suprsingly not. It, like just about every MDF/press board and vinyl L-shaped desk, uses a box-shaped steel reinforcement for the desk.

Deal is dead. I saw it earlier this morning and was tempted but I started second guessing myself.
I have a normal shaped desk, "not l shaped" of very similar construction. It's very sturdy for what it is, and actually is decent material on the top surface.
I prefer a darker color, I guess that's why I hesitated

L shaped desks are best for productivity. I have this and it is sturdy. I put 3 large monitors and with about 5 laptop keyboards etc
