Amex Offer Enrollment Required
Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $250 in one or more purchases in-store at Best Buy® or online at bestbuy.com by 12/15/2022. See terms.
Terms:
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid in-store and online at BestBuy.com® only. Valid at any participating location in the US and US Territories. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas. Not valid for e-gift card purchases. Excludes corporate gift card purchases. Not valid at outlet locations. Excludes Best Buy Express, Geek Squad services not purchased through Best Buy, Best Buy Parts Store, Best Buy Direct, Best Buy Education, Best Buy Ignite, Best Buy Secondary Markets, Best Buy Private Store & Auction, any Best Buy retail location not open for business and standalone Pacific Sales stores. Offer is non-transferable. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/15/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are available for varying and limited periods of time and are dynamic and personalized. If you navigate away from the Amex Offers page, you may see different offers when you return. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. I'm not saying this card doesn't have value, but that is NOT the break point. If you ONLY spend $2000 on groceries, you'd be better off with the regular blue cash everyday giving you 3% back (e.g., $60 back). The preferred will get you an ADDITIONAL $60 back but it will cost you $95, that's not efficient.

1) Which amex cards are these for or do they apply to all amex cards ?
2) Those experienced, any recommendations for amex cards to get for zero or suitable minimum yearly fee and maximum benefits assuming one has good enough credit. I don't have any use for airline credits but love cashback and everyday savings. not looking for gas benefits but grocery store and electronics are big purchases yoy..
TIA
Yes. Works and have been doing this deal every Thanksgiving time with no issues

I don't understand. Please educate me ☹️
How is it a hassle to do return and repurchase at the store? It sounds simple to achieve? At Target for example customer service rep (CSR) do it quickly by scanning the barcode from phone and the item to complete the refund process, provide receipt to the customer, then rescanning the item and then the customer simply provide a different form of payment ie Red card for the 5% discount.
Not sure why you say it different for BBY?

I need a new modem which would be about $130 and then I have a God of War PS5 controller preordered which is $80. Will prob end up spending $40 on some games or something.
It says not valid on e-gift card purchases. So make sure you buy the gift card instote
So I was forced to buy 2x $100 and 1x $50 Amazon gift cards.

They had a big problem figuring out how to re-use the 15% off trade-in coupon. It was redeemed with the initial purchase and once I returned the purchase, it didn't reactivate the coupon code used. So they couldn't use it on the repurchase. They had to get a couple of other people involved (managers?) and after quite a hassle, they figured it out but it was at least 30 minutes or more it felt like. With the back up of the line also to take in to consideration also and because of what I thought would just be a simple return and repurchase, I'd never do it again. Maybe things have gotten better in the last 3 years there, but I'll never personally find out myself. 😂

The only thing you won't get is points based deals (like Amazon coupons when you pay with AMEX points) as this is a straight cash back card.
