Good deal paid $600 last year for the 2021 model, works good for those on a budget, I have young kids and while nothing has ever happened, I have a feeling the day I buy an OLED something will happen, waiting until they're older to purchase a more expensive option.

Just saw this at Sam's. Nice straight on, but I need better viewing angles.

4K, but only 60hz, it does have one HDMI 2.1 port which I have found is kind of a bummer.

Ooof, tempting. Can't justify it cuz I'm already at 4k. I'd get better color/contrast though... If it were 120hz I probably woulda got it. Then again Black Friday isn't here just yet. If goes to 199, I'll probably just get it.

I'll be shocked if you found the M8 in this price range with 120hz, but I would note that the 2.1 pro there does allow VRR which makes a big impact on Xbox and PS5

I have this TV, last year's model. Software is super buggy. Last update made it tolerable. 60hz is not great if you intend to use for gaming. Brightness is good, clarity is right on par with the money. Moved this to the bedroom for the wife and replaced with a unicorn $600 LG C1 55inch I snagged at Costco over the summer.

Thanks in for one. According the website the 55 inch model supports 30 local dimming zones with up to 600 nits brightness!
