The recent $6 Amazon Basics 9-outlet rotating surge protector (S9P902P6KQ) is made by the same company. The inside of the Amazon looks clean and basic, 2 Fireproof MOVs with two microtemp fuses rated for 120C 250V. A few other components, but I didn't look at it in detail.
Edit: One of thing of note, For the amazon Basics one, don't be regularly rotating the socket. it's just a wired soldered to the metal leg, so... wire fatigue is bound to occur.
