1. They smell of chemicals.
2. The Large fit okay but the fingers were spacious and the knitting and coating were thick, so not "like a glove". There was movement/looseness in the finger areas. I don't know if a wash would help with the size. Again this was for the HPPE shell.
3. As you can see the webbing grid makes them grippy.
I recommend ordering a size smaller also to compare and return the one that does not fit.
Overall, this will work for me to pull out prickly weeds and bushes.
Gotta love how they raise the price when the demand increases! What was that about Amazon being a "consumer-centric" company??🙄

What you're describing represents a typical "work glove". Perhaps the latex type are thinner? Washing them wouldn't normally have any affect on the size.
