Those reverse serrations are nice for dragging across your sweaty bare pecs to draw out a line of blood while you stare into the jungle.

It's a Low-end Chinese Martensitic stainless steel, used today in the knife industry, it has high corrosion resistance and wear resistance, it's known to be a "good for the price" stainless steel.

It's prevalent in the United States, especially for knife makers, its cheap and good quality, and allows making affordable and durable knives

As a former land surveyor I had many hours of swinging a machete cutting line, and I prefer using the latin style machete. You don't want too thick of a blade, and if this has a sawback I suspect it will be thick, and heavy. Thinner, lighter blades will allow you to get more speed, dexterity, and you will not tire as quickly. For thicker branches I would just carry a small stihl folding arborist saw.

My 8 years old son was asking for a wooden sword to play with. They are more expensive than this. What are we doing to ourselves as a society???
