Hmm, I just did the Apple trade in for the S7 FE and cost me about $180 with mini 2 trade.
I like it but its just too big... Wonder if worth trading in again

Multiple reasons for that but the main reason is other retailers. They cannot just discount heavily and expect other retailers like BB and Amazon to be okay with these discounts.

I traded a 7-year old galaxy tab for the S7 FE just because my old tab was unused and got the FE, buds 2 and a book cover for $200 including tax. I was waiting to trade the FE to get this S8U but now I am thinking is it worth to spend another $300 to get a 14.6" screen size tab?

Was just going to bite w/ a trade on an S7 I picked earler in year just to trade in (that promo ended on the day I received it LOL.) A few months ago I would have jumped for this trade in but the S9 seems just around the corner. I barely have a use for a tablet but I'm sure I'll want that when it comes out. For me I think I'll just wait for a trade in on the S9. The shineness of a "just released" S8 ultra lost a bit of luster.

However for cracked devices I feel this is a no brainer of a deal. In my book thats a chance to upgrade a device that has very little if any value to pretty much anyone. Regardless of what was paid for it see what kind of looks you get if you gift a cracked screen tablet to a loved one. If anything trade the cracked device just to sell the S8 ultra.

S9 is not coming anytime soon. Samsung is not releasing new tablet with the Galaxy S23 launch. The new tablets are expected to be out H2 2023.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I knew & was willing to wait for Q2 in 2023.

Edit - Being as we're in Q4 already. It seems by the time this thing gets in my hands & the holidays pass the S9 would be around the corner. For me a tablet does nothing but stream CNBC during the day though. For someone who has an actual use for a good tablet then yeah waiting for the S9 might be worthwhile as there's always something around the corner in terms of gizmos.

If I trade in the 7 FE I got about a month ago and include that cost total with tax will be around $460. Is that a good deal?
