Avoid. The external battery connector will break and the circuit board will fry due to the electronic brake overloading the board. Build quietly is great otherwise, but the two flaws are fatal. Not a matter of if, but when.

Wouldn't a firmware upgrade fix the e brake stuff? As for external battery connector problem. Would glue gun the surrounding port fix this issue?

I have the Bird scooter from the Black Friday sale 2 years ago and have no problems with it. Only negative is it does not fold.
Me too. I had an issue with the battery, but I bought a new one on ebay for $80. A new f/w flash can help, but not needed. Turn the regenerative braking to low to avoid burning out sensitive circuits (its been known to be an issue). Still no complaints. Its plenty fast for most commuting on back streets.. I used it a bunch. Def. worth the price at this level.

This is a great deal. I paid 400 for mine in 2019 and bought the battery off eBay for 80 bucks. I have over 900 miles on it and the scooter functions perfectly.
