Stopped using my Amazefit watch ever since my phone antivirus kept reporting zepp app sending data to Chinese servers. I uninstalled the app and just get the readings from the watch. While these watches are cheap I don't like the fact they data mine your phone I don't like giving away my privacy to an unknown entity
Curious what antivirus app you were using on your phone?

Xiaomi is a nice brand, in my experience. Yes, there's an above 0% risk of your data being sold overseas. Surprise, you're buying wearable tech in 2022.

Can't speak to the seller, and the global version link is broken (can't find it via search either), but the watch itself is pretty nice, especially for the price.

The Mi Band 7 Pro is very similar to the Amazfit Band 7. The latter has no GPS.

Syncs with the Zepp application, not the Zepp Life one.

I'm staying with the Mi Band 6 until there are options for a stainless steel replacement band. I don't like the silicon ones.

Got a Amazfit Band 7 to check out for 40 during the recent second Prime day and the screen is much larger... Wider. Better for reading incoming messages but I am not sure I like it more than the slimmer Mi Band 6 on my wrist. Closer to a smartwatch than a fitness band.

Gotta love how we willingly hand over our tech over there. Then they shamefully just copy it.

This is a cheap price. Great If for some reason you just can't afford an Apple Watch and don't care about your privacy/data. Note, as many others have mentioned, this is a CHINESE company. You know what that means. Rock hard pass for me, but if you just don't care, dive in because it won't be much cheaper for BF.
You think Apple, Google, etc are more privacy conscious than a Chinese company? I highly doubt it. They are probably giving everything to the government. We're pretty much screwed on privacy no matter which route we go, so may as well get a nice cheap watch.

Apple computer components are made in China, that doesn't stop throngs of people from buying their products.

Cheaper on AliExpress if you purchase on 11/11 sale!

$45.99 with the coupon code on the product image (seller: Poco Online)
$42.99 if you use $3 off $30 deal (stacks since $3 off 30 is default and doesn't need coupons)

Direct link: (remove spaces)
aliexpress. us/item/3256804304584813.html?

For people concerned about privacy: you can use the app without letting it store data on cloud. I do this and sync the data to Apple health instead.

Do you think your data is safer and less exploited with apple??

Apple is a data and marketing leveraging machine.

I don't care if china knows my exercise habits personally.

Google - absolutely not. Apple - yes. With Apple they sell actual products. With Google, YOU are the product. If you trust a Chinese company then you do you. Generally, they simply steal/copy American tech and then sell it cheap. If you buy things like this you are approving of this process.
And the components in Apple products made in China could spy as well.
