I found a way to get the BowFlex knock-offs for $150 a pair plus tax and free shipping.

Macy's has them listed for $99.99 each. I added 2 to the cart and signed into my Macys account. (if you don't have one create one)
**** A popup after login asked to receive text message alerts for promos. I checked that boxed and received a text stating to reply back "STAR" to receive a code for 25% off an order. ****I received the code and the final price came to $149.99 plus tax.

Yes there are bad reviews/ fake ones and these are not designed to be thrown around like metal weights but there are plenty of videos of how they operate and how to fix the common problems. The description also states these come with a 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY & Macy's return policy is good until Jan 31st, 2023.

Thanks, good idea. These were to replace my 552's that I gave to one of my teens. I had backed down to 1090's for everything and they've worked ok for the most part but it's nice having both. Maybe I'll just let these sit there on his floor instead of my 552's.
You have a good place to access chat? I tried yesterday and could only (not) reach in-store beauty associates. I'll look again.

Representative understood the issue and offered 15% to keep after I told her returning them would be a hassle since the boxes came mangled and would suck to return.

*Edit: They only sent me 15% off for one dumbell and said they don't need to send the compensation for the other. Might just chargeback on my credit card because their customer service is being snaky and I did receive the wrong product in the first place.

I don't know where you guys are finding a way to contact Macy.com through the chat so I called them.....She said the only thing she could do was start a return and for me to ship them back or drop off at Macys. She said she would issue the credit now as well. I told her I wanted a credit or discount for the mishap and she said she could not do that. She did say they would honor the current price if they come back available.

TZUMIs chat stated they do NOT make the 552 copies anymore (we could have guessed that) BUT they still have stock of them. She stated the newer model is better & they have had less returns.

She then said I would have to go thru Macys regarding any order mix up and they can send me the correct model.....

All in all. I am going to stick with these. They are super easy/fast to adjust. I did 2 workouts (about 10-12 weight changes per workout) so far with them and shaved off 5-7 minutes off my 45 min workout by not having to switch weigh plates. There were only 2 exercises where they were a little too bulky (side to side squats & skull crushers) so I stuck to my solid weights for those.

The build quality seems impressive and more dummy proof of not being able to set either side at a different weight. The hard click ensures the weights are locked in place. I will update this thread with anything else I find.

I let them know I was sent the wrong item and then asked if I can escalate the request because the person in chat wasn't aware of the mix-up. The let the next person know of the issue and asked if there was any option to receive a discount to keep them vs returning.

I'm actually going to return them after all even though it's a great deal, they are just to wide for me for many of my exercises. I'd prefer ones where the less the weight the more narrow the dumbbell... wish I liked them enough to keep them.

I just got mine and the same issue as everyone else. I did noticed they switched the picture on the link BUT the email that confirmed the order has the original image. Going to be contacting them tomorrow.

I'm running into the issue where they won't even offer a discount. It's either return or tough luck. Their customer is not personable at all.

First representative was nice and understanding after I told them the products were not the same and offered the 15% after I told them hold much of a hassle it would be to return and the boxes were destroyed. Second representative didn't believe what I said and told me they can only offer a discount once and can't do it again. Second representative then back through chat logs of representative one and realized it was supposed to be a discount on both and not one. If I don't receive the discount on the other by tomorrow, I will contact chase and ask them what I should do and whether to dispute the whole order amount or just the 15%.

Well I checked my paypal and it seems Macys refunded me the full amount Confused I logged into my Macys account and it seems the agent I talked to on the phone put in that I did not receive the item so they sent a full refund.....I guess I don't have to bother with chat and that explains why I never received a return label to make an exchange.
