The big plus on this is the weight and portability...thumbs up. That said, I've owned a couple Craftsman, Pittsburgh and now a long reach Daytona and I will say the Daytona is tough to beat.

The weight was the decision point for me. The steel ones are likely more stable / durable, but heavy and some rust... I am lifting my cars up 1-2 times a year so I didn't want something that was too heavy to move around. The footprint was also an issue... my garage space is limited Smilie

I would trust HF just a tad over this because of my experience with it. I have had the HF 3 ton since ~2013 and it recently stopped pumping. I thought it was dead, but I bled it and topped off the oil and it's working again. Very impressed with it.

HF is currently a little more expensive: $209.99

I have a steel 3 ton Arcan jack that has been jacking things for at least 10 years with zero issues. Been a great jack.

It does weigh a ton so that aluminum version looks pretty sweet.

Another Daytona owner. I watched the Project Farm video before I went with Daytona over the Arcan. That video and channel in general is super helpful.

Yeah there's the famous Harbor Freight Tools vs Snap-On controversy. Snap On sued them over their Daytona jacks and settled out of court.

Wow these have gotten expensive. I have their 2.5T from few yrs back for $97. Costco then began selling their 3T hybrid jacks for $129. Im wondering if this is the same jack or a newer model.

thats crazy how much it has gone up. i got the costco one also (red/silver) also bought it for 100$ like 7-8 years ago? has been holding up so good, love it!

Agreed. It's a great jack. Warning for others though. It's a tad tall for my barely lowered Miata. I have to drive up on boards to slide it under the front bumper. It lifts just barely high enough to get my jack stands to a decent height for working under my cars. It's things people should realize by reading the specs, but just giving a practical first hand experience.
