Oof that price. Still this is a useful PSA for people who want to order right away just in case it sells out.

We shall see…

The execs at Sony are on drugs with a $549 price tag and no backwards compatibility.

Bought PSV big disappointment not what i expected. For me did not really feel like virtual reality. Only used 2-3 times and never again.

Hopefully PSV2 is 10x better 🤞

I ordered the iron man bundle a few weeks back at the $199 knowing VR2 is not backwards compatible. I figured if nothing else that can dip my toes in the water to see if VR2 would be worth the money.

So far, I haven't used it an incredible amount as it seems like a lot of setup to play, the graphics seem to be roughly PS3 era and you really need to keep it lined up right to have focus. At least the games are pretty darn cheap, I've obtained a bunch of games for less tehn $50 to dabble. I don't love it yet, but I'll let the first version grow on me before I debate plunking down that kind of money for the 2nd.

Everyone is complaining about the lack of backwards compatibility, but the difference between the original PSVR and this/Quest/etc. is night and day.

It's like the NES vs the Gamcube. Sure backwards compatibility would be nice but it's not expected.

Make sure you play games that are top 50 since there are a lot of junk available to buy for cheap. Check out PSVR2 Without Parole. I have liked their coverage and top 50 games videos
