FYI - if you're not a frequent movie goer and all you want is the concession discount + waived fees. They have a "lite" plan for $4.99 that will give you free credit every other month, but everything else is the same. That option will show up once you try to cancel the regular membership in their app.

Appreciate this comment. I remember seeing the option last year when I canceled but couldn't find it for the life of me. I'll probably cancel in the next month or two and will be switching to lite.
Can you gift yourself the 12 month discounted club membership like last year?
edit: looks like last year was 6 months for $40 (instead of 6 for 50 or 12 for 100 this year), guess I should have stocked up more months last year when it was a better deal!
My annual runs out Nov 14 so I'll see if I can just use this to renew then for cheaper.

so if purchase this and add it to existing membership what happens? Does it extend my expiration date or does it just give you 12 credits with same expiration date. Also if I gift it to myself and then wait until expiration.. does that extend my expiration date?

It sounds like it just gives you 12 movie credits and you still have to keep paying monthly as normal.

No, at this time you cannot use a Cinemark gift card to purchase a Movie Club Gift."
