My recent purchase from them via eBay came basically DOA. The LiDAR didn't work at all, so it wouldn't do anything except turn on and throw an error. They have been responsive just a pain, asked for video proof, debugging and having to ship it back ect. I have shipped it back and am waiting for a reply. I did asked if they check outgoing items and there response was a lot of words that means no:
"Usually, the refurbished device we are selling are 70-90% brand new and it should work well without any problem. For this item, it's needed further rigorous examination by our technicians."
I'm guessing it will work out but in this case it's been a hassle.

The s7 can handle multiple types of floors, you basically have it map the house and then use the room function to edit the rooms. Then once you have the map done you can configure the treatment for each room. For wood floors I wouldn't use the mop function, even on the light mop setting too much water gets on the pad and can damage the wood. We just use vacuum on wood and then just spray/wipe those manually every other week with proper equipment

On tile the mop function is ok. It streaks pretty bad. The best way we have gotten it to work is to just use water in the tank but spray the floor randomly with a clorox hand spray. Do a run. Switch the pad and then have it run again. We run ours every week from the mopping perspective and the first run pad is pretty dirty everytime for just a 400sqft room.

So we just do it room by room.

This device is good if you can do the room by room method, but in a 4k Sq ft house, it's mopping function isn't really a mop...more a wet swifer. So unless you do what I said above and swap pads every 300 Sq ft or so and dbl run it....you'll just be pushing dirt around your floors.

When we first got it and tried to do the whole house...didn't work out so well. Now we have our system down so it works to set it up to run while doing something else.

I see zero benefit to the filling station add on....as it doesn't clean or swap put the pad. So that's a huge waste of money

I just got refurb s6 pure last month (within return period). The S7 is only $80+ more (after tax).. is it worth the hassle to return and buy the s7? The only differences I see is bigger battery and better mopping.

FYI the mop is more of dragging dirt around. Buy the extra pads from 3rd party vendor on Amazon and do an area 1x and then swap head and run it again for best result

I have basically all wood floors in my house and interested in the mopping feature, 3 different floors, lots of kids toys scattered around, and a dog that sheds a lot. Which model works best for me? One of my biggest problem areas is the dining room chairs have stick on pads to prevent scratching the wood floor, but they become a magnet for dog hair and are a pain to clean. Any one know if these vacuums get these?

It depends on the complexity of your home, and your needs. If you have a small apartment and you only need vacuuming and you're going to vacuum the entire place every time, then you don't need the fancier features and the E4/E5 is enough vacuum for you.
If you have a larger home or multiple levels, with tile floors you want it to mop, then the S5 Max is the sweet spot.

FYI I bought a refurb S5 for BF 2019. We've run it every night since, and it is still in full beast mode: currently 1008 hrs of run time and 840,000 sq ft cleaned.

I really want to buy another one because I love this pricing, but not needed because this thing might outlive me
