My recent purchase from them via eBay came basically DOA. The LiDAR didn't work at all, so it wouldn't do anything except turn on and throw an error. They have been responsive just a pain, asked for video proof, debugging and having to ship it back ect. I have shipped it back and am waiting for a reply. I did asked if they check outgoing items and there response was a lot of words that means no:
"Usually, the refurbished device we are selling are 70-90% brand new and it should work well without any problem. For this item, it's needed further rigorous examination by our technicians."
I'm guessing it will work out but in this case it's been a hassle.

The s7 can handle multiple types of floors, you basically have it map the house and then use the room function to edit the rooms. Then once you have the map done you can configure the treatment for each room. For wood floors I wouldn't use the mop function, even on the light mop setting too much water gets on the pad and can damage the wood. We just use vacuum on wood and then just spray/wipe those manually every other week with proper equipment

On tile the mop function is ok. It streaks pretty bad. The best way we have gotten it to work is to just use water in the tank but spray the floor randomly with a clorox hand spray. Do a run. Switch the pad and then have it run again. We run ours every week from the mopping perspective and the first run pad is pretty dirty everytime for just a 400sqft room.

So we just do it room by room.

This device is good if you can do the room by room method, but in a 4k Sq ft house, it's mopping function isn't really a mop...more a wet swifer. So unless you do what I said above and swap pads every 300 Sq ft or so and dbl run it....you'll just be pushing dirt around your floors.

When we first got it and tried to do the whole house...didn't work out so well. Now we have our system down so it works to set it up to run while doing something else.

I see zero benefit to the filling station add on....as it doesn't clean or swap put the pad. So that's a huge waste of money

Wow this seems like a great deal. My inlaws have been asking for a robot vacuum/mop and will be moving into their new place soon. Its around 1000-1100sq ft. 2 bed/2 bath all laminate (i think) flooring. No pets but they tend to get their floors dirty on their own despite not wearing shoes indoors (basically, tracking in dirt from outside when removing shoes, stepping on the ground with socks and then tracking it in as well as making a mess in the kitchen and dropping/spilling stuff on the floor).

Would the e4 or e5 be good for them?

I'm leaning towards the e5 for them... I'm tempted to grab the s5 of s7 for our house too. we have ceramic tile flooring downstairs and need something to both vacuum and mop. not sure what which would be best for us.

Yes, you can buy the auto-empty dock later. When it first came out it wasn't offered in a package with the vacuum and had to be purchased separately. The dock is $299, making the total for the vacuum and dock under $600. The best deal for the S7+ package I could find was $670 so it's a good deal to buy the refurbished and dock separately.

Also pet hair...it collects easily in the vac near the entrance of the bin so you have to do a finger swipe when emptying to clear it all out or it builds up.


More then happy to provide pics showing it.

Don't waste money on the dock model unless you don't have pets.

I got the s6 during the same kind of eBay sale last year and it is pretty much identical to new. Runs perfectly. Daily. I like the app better than our Roomba upstairs. I would jump on this if I had a need.

I just don't get why most of their models mostly have a mop feature. Like it doesn't even have 12 sq inches of mopping area so it won't actually mop, it will just move the dirt and grease around. It could mop like one 200 sq ft room and then the pad would be dirty. It's also something else that can break. If I want and robomop, I'll buy a stand-alone.
