This company has a pretty poor track record of handling high volume sales like Black Friday & Christmas. There are tons of comments in this forum. I've had good luck with their shipping times under normal conditions though.
I would probably get one for my son in PA if it were factory blemished instead. "Reconditioned" is a much riskier purchase, but a good deal if it works out. Keep your fingers crossed with those.

Me and my BIL have sent them back 3 different times earlier this year when it (reconditioned with batteries) was around the same price. Unfortunately, they ship them in plain flimsy brown boxes and every time they were damaged severely in shipping. We ended up just getting a refund in the end due to being out of stock for an exchange.

If I got that and a circular saw separately with 3 batteries at HD, that would be all of those for $400, which would take care of 90% of my needs, then just buy what else I need ala carte. Thoughts?

That lopper is tempting!
That lopper is tempting!
Batteries are worth 100 bucks each.
Hope these things don't suck. Reviews were a bit shakey.

Is this a good deal for a weekend DIY'er who is looking to get new cordless tools?
