I was between this and the REI Basecamp 6. Both were around $329 at the time. Closer to $500 normally. If this is the newer model. $220 is a ridiculous price for this.

Anyone saying this is a pain in the ass to assemble is being ridiculous. I was nervous about that until I set it up in my living room. The main tent itself is 3 long aluminum poles. The hardest part is flexing them. There's one more set of poles for the vestibule and that's it.

It takes longer than a Coleman instant tent, but by no means did I find it overly difficult.

They're TJ Maxx so they seem to be pretty legit. Mines out for delivery today. They shipped within a day.

How does this compare to other tents? Is this more a car camping or backpacking tent? Weight wasn't listed. Obviously north face+price is way higher than say the instant up tents, but what do you get for this price/tent advantage vs. other cheaper tents?

I understand what to look for in small 1-2 person backpacking tents, no idea in larger tents.

This is a pretty awesome tent, but setup is a little difficult. Lots of great reviews on youtube. Its definitely one of the better ones out there.

I have a decent 2 person backpacking tent and a 60 second setup 6 person for car camping events.

What niche does this fill exactly? Is this a 20 year long lasting car camping size/weight tent? A big expedition backpacking tent? I'm tempted, but unaware of how to justify this.

I hate videos because I'm a faster reader. I'll watch before I buy, but I need to justify the time before I watch.

Received the new model. I think at this price it's going to be hard to beat. I waited to post simply cause I wanted to be sure it was the new version.

Amazing deal assuming it's the newer version. It's an excellent family car camping tent. Wish I waited but definitely a BIN price if you are in the market.
