Yea, the price increases aren't going over well. My local walmart is filled with the $50 kenobi/vader duel set and the overpriced 4+ endor set.
back to old MSRP after lego price grouching

3066 pieces, it will take me months to finish it.

This is a 10-15 hour build for my 8yo. Either you don't care enough about lego to spend time on it, which is fine of course, or you need to seriously reconsider your work/life balance.

Love the modulars, and already own this one (bought before the price hike). I don't often complain about Lego prices, but I have to admit, it does make me sad that $200 is now considered a deal for a modular. It wasn't too long ago that retail for these was between $150-$170. I didn't really gripe when it approached $200 either. But now $200 is a deal? Sign of the times I guess. I'll still buy the next modular when it comes but I hope Lego is forced to start running a lot more sales to move inventory after the price hike.

Too bad these sets no longer hold their value. I started purchasing modulars with the fire brigade. Shortly after the early sets retired, you could sell them for a profit, even if they were assembled. It looks like the more recently retired ones are struggling to get MSRP. Not that I am looking to sell but it was nice knowing I could, if needed, and still come out ahead.
