its not the cost of it, but the cost of the electricity to heat it

This thing is TINY. The 71" saluspa is already tiny, and claims up to 4 ppl, but really it fits 4 kids snugly. This stating 3 is pretty telling. Not saying it's bad, just know what to expect size-wise

How long can this thing last.... I give it about 7 sessions before it blows up somewhere.

I have a larger one (Coleman Palm Springs) and leave mine running 24/7 and it really doesn't cost all that much to keep it heated. Maybe if you get a lot of cold weather and keep it outdoors, but you can also add extra insulation.

These are surprisingly more durable than you would think. I use mine maybe 3-5 times a week and barely any signs of wear. Maybe a little fading from the sun, but that is minimal if you add protectant to the exterior.

I would recommend 303 Aerospace protectant [amazon.com]or something similar. Most of the maintenance is just in keeping the water clean. I add some bleach tablets to mine maybe a couple times a week, and rinse the filter. It's really not that bad though if you keep it covered. The #1 thing that seems to get in the filter is any skin you might exfoliate while in the hot tub and even that shouldn't be all that much.

Thank you! Spray this on just the exterior or the interior where water will be, too?

What alternatives to bleach tablets? Anything more hippie and natural (my lady won't want to join me if I tell her it's bleach)? I understand chlorine is natural but it's expensive. I'm assuming that's why you use bleach; for the cost.

Just treat the exterior, since that is what would be exposed to the sun.

I dunno that there are any alternatives to bleach that would be considered "natural" or "hippie" You can use bromine, but that's all I'm aware of and not sure that would be any better for your situation. As far as the bleach, if you use it correctly, it's really not all that much of an issue. I put fresh bleach tablets after I use the hot tub, then run the air jets for a short time afterwards. That allows for your water to be treated, but limits the harshness of the bleach by releasing it into the air. By time you go to use the hot tub again, the water should be clean but not bleachy.

I think my hot tub holds about 80 more gallons of water than the one here, and I use these tablets [amazon.com], That is $5.70 for 32 tablets, which should last roughly 16 treatments. I also get the larger pack with like 8 bottles, so the cost is even less than that. Last thing with the bleach. Easiest way to check to make sure you're using enough bleach. Just from experience, I've learned that if the bottom of the hot tub gets a slick/slimy feeling to it, then you're not adding enough bleach. If it feels smooth and natural, then you're right where you should be with the bleach.

Will putting one of these at my house bring the milkshakes to my yard?

Ha! So true! I guess I should have said it's best price I've found recently. Another potential option is the Coleman Bahamas spa [walmart.com] at Walmart for $298. If anyone finds a better deal, feel free to post! Smilie

67" width is shamefully small for more than one person. I've owned several of these inflatable spas. 71" is the bare minimum you want even for one person. 77" is better. The chemicals are super hard to get right on any of these. The smaller the tub the dirtier the water.
