CDKeys [cdkeys.com] has 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership (South Africa - Email Delivery) for $36.89.
New / Expired Xbox Game Pass members can convert Xbox Live Gold membership to Game Pass Ultimate at 1:1 ratio. Any prepaid time up to the maximum of three years gets the upgrade. Free VPN service is required only for redeeming the code(s).

Steps are only for New / Expired Xbox Game Pass members:
  1. Purchase [cdkeys.com] 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership (South Africa - Email Delivery).
  2. Download Urban VPN [urban-vpn.com] App or Browser Extension for free.
  3. Connect to South Africa on Urban VPN or using your own VPN service/app.
  4. Open browser in incognito/private mode and make sure you are connected to South Africa by checking Whatismyip.com [whatismyip.com]
  5. Redeem [microsoft.com] your Xbox Live Gold code(s) without agreeing to recurring billing.
    • You can stack up to three years of Xbox Live Gold.
  6. Disconnect VPN after redeeming the code(s) and close browser.
  7. Join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate [xbox.com] by purchasing your first month for $1 (If price shows as $14.99, you can purchase Game Pass Ultimate first month [cdkeys.com] for $3.69 and redeem). Don't enable auto renewal when asked.
    • You will be prompted to upgrade your Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate with a 1:1 conversion. The renewal date should be the same as your Xbox live gold, plus 1 month (Maximum 36 months).
  8. Total = $36.89 + $1 = $37.89.
Note: Active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can convert 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership to 4-month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Anyone know if a 1 month free trial of Gamepass would also work instead of paying the $14 for the 1st month to convert everything ?

This seems like a really good deal for 3 years of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

We are buying my son an Xbox for Christmas (with Stadia refund money, boo!) and this seems like a great way to kickstart his Xbox gaming.

Thoughts?

can I do this whole process (on PC) without having the Xbox yet and then just login in when we have the console and be ready to go? Haven't bought our Xbox yet. Will be a bday gift in a few weeks.

We currently have an active Ultimate subscription that will renew on 12/8. We got the original 3 year deal 3 years ago - it's just now ending. I need some guidance please...

1) If I buy the keys from CDKeys today, how long can I hold onto it before using? I assume I should wait until at least 12/9 if I want the full deal.

2) Can you actually stack 3 of these deals? If it's 12 months + 1 the first time, wouldn't adding 2 more push you to 37 months? Does it throw an error, or do you just lost the extra 1 month?

These conversion deals can become a big annoyance, bought one for my brother and it completely converted his account to another region which made no sense. Had to spend a month with Xbox support to get his account converted back to US and also make excuses why he randomly had a SA subscription purchased for his account and not a US one.

So I purchased one year, then turned on my nord vpn and went to redeem the code. However it states that I can't redeem because it was purchased from another region. Anyone else having this issue? Did I need to purchase with vpn turn on ?
