🤞 I can find one or two. My kid left his on a plane. These are excellent chargers, just need to come with a leash so you don't lose them or have them fall out of a pocket

Sorry to hijack the thread, but in what reality do you live in? More than makes up the cost of living?

Housing is almost 5-10 TIMES the cost of other places while incomes are barely 2-3 times higher (and I am being generous here).

FWIW, Danville, California had plenty in stock today for $9.97.
Damn you Danville! Ship some to the peninsula for us Lol

I would've prolly stocked up. USB-C seems like the future and these are quality charger that won't get cheaper than $5 a piece! Since none of the iPhones/iPads come with chargers anymore it's a no brainer.

True, but I've heard that it still doesn't match proportionally even with the higher salary. And this is assuming we are talking about white collar professionals who work at companies (software, finance, marketing, etc.). There are also certain professions where because of the competition and desirability of the region the pay doesn't scale properly or isn't even higher than less desirable parts of the country (think healthcare like physicians, pharmacists, etc.). This is something I can't verify myself, but I've heard some physicians complain about being offered lower salaries than other lower cost metro areas. They can still live comfortably but the fact that they are being paid less while living in a significantly higher COL location isn't so great.

For Doctors at least (I have several in the family in CA) its true you can probably live better outside CA (even with adjusted income) but CA is still very popular among doctors and usually harder to get placed here versus other states. Part of that is probably due to competative programs here for research and available tech at facilities.

Yeah that's true. That's why I said they can still live comfortably even though they might be paid less than somewhere with even lower cost of living. I mean if you're making 250k+ you're probably going to be fine living in California. I have many relatives who live there and while they complain about the typical things like cost and homelessness, they will never leave because they are making enough not to worry about those things.

I'm not trying to be one of the stereotypical "California bad" Slickdealers. There's a reason why despite the high CoL, California is still a super competitive market for jobs because lots of well paid people want to live there. I knew people growing up trying to move there and it's saturated, especially with some of my friends who were in medicine. For those guys it's super tough to even get a job there especially if they didn't do residency there, and that in itself is an extremely hard thing to get into in SoCal and Bay Area.

Just trying to point out that cost of living adjustment still isn't always properly "adjusted" over there, and in some professions, there is very little to no cost adjustment for salaries.

For sure, especially state or federal government jobs were cost of living adjustment is minimal , or in professional fields that are just not as competative
