I had an Apple leather case on my iPhone X that lasted over 18 months. I got an Apple leather case for my iPhone 13 and it started peeling off after 3 months. The build quality for those cases has gone downhill for the past 3-4 years. Almost no protection on the inside. Many 3rd party cases have better quality and protection now. You're pretty much buying into the brand with this case. Not much else.

Edit - Maybe you got ripped off with a fake one. I got mine from Apple directly.

No this is a known issue, i switched to silicone for this same reason and bought directly from apple

Same I bought a leather case from Verizon and it lasted 3 months before peeling
