Yes, at a 175hz you can blaze through excel documents 3x faster than at a measly 60hz.

It's a preference, I had a 1080 27" for years and it was totally fine. This seems like a great deal.

27" is too large for 1080p; you really want 1440p minimum at that panel size.

Which one would you all recommend? This or the Dell S2522HG (https://deals.dell.com/en-us/compare/fi77)

Who games at 1080p 27"? I have a 25" but I think my aging eyes would appreciate 27". I don't take about going to 1440p as I play FPS with minimal graphics to get high fps.

Counterpoint: I've known people who gamed on 32" 720p 60Hz TVs and said it was totally fine.

I know this deal is dead, but this 24.5 similar spec is probably better for the same price than the 27" right? Unless someone wants a larger display for some reason?

27" is fine for 1080p. I use a 1080p at 240hz that's 27". Granted it's also a VA panel and curved, but it's amazing for all my games, especially FPS.

I also have used 4k and 1440p panels. Yes, you can see some pixels on the 1080p panel, but it's far from a game breaker.

Yes. At close to 100% sRGB coverage you can be sure the blue lines in Word is truly blue and the colors in Powerpoint is what you intended them to be.

Only downside is tilt and not rotate, in case you want to look at your word doc sideways.
