Been looking for a Tele for a while. With the inflated prices I held out, but this is a decent deal and about on par with what I would expect these should be going for, if not slightly cheaper than expected based on actual inflation, as I think the non-plus player standard tele should be valued around $600 as they were around $450 for the last 10 or so years, before the pandemic hit.

Exactly. Standard pricing has doubled from what it should be. I did miss out on a used 2017 player tele about a year ago for less than $400, that I keep kicking myself for, but a new MIM Nashville Player Plus for $675 is right where I think it should be. Of course, I'll reserve final judgement for when I receive it and can inspect the quality and sound.

Anyone else have issues with receiving the guitar? Waited over a week for it to process, then it said carrier picked up on friday but no update since then. Contacted Amazon and they basically said it won't be arriving as it's "stuck in advanced shipment". They offered to start a replacement order since the price had changed but it's shipping from an entirely different seller and estimated for delivery at the beginning of January.

Amazon took more than a week to ship out mine but then I received it within a day.

Thanks for that. Sounds like I'm getting the run-around on this, then. Don't know if the shipment was lost or stolen or they simply never had the item to ship me in the first place. Pretty annoying to say the least.

Finally got mine in today. 3 piece body that isn't matched very well and has several knots in the wood, a ding in the paint near the tail strap button where it looks like they filled a hole they mis-drilled. Low e buzzing like crazy and the volume knob attached all the way down, where it can barely move, in addition to finish run on the back of the area where the neck meets the headstock. Not to mention the gigbag it came with can't even properly zip as it skips teeth about half way up.

Sent back a jag-stang last week due to similar issues. It seems like fender's workmanship and QC is really shoddy, lately.

Edit: Also discovered the tele has issues with the bridge pick up with super low volume on the high E string. Touchs it with the tip of a screwdriver and the magnetic pull on that particular pole piece was super low compared to the others. If I want to keep the guitar, I have to deal with a ton of issues and since this was a replacement order due to issues with the initial shipment, Amazon says they can only refund the order. Really disappointed in the issues with fender, at this point and would recommend against purchasing any of their products.
