my pixel 3xl is still a solid phone for me, doin the upgrade cuz i wanna record in 4k 😆
Both have pretty aggressive trade-in deals once you are in the ecosystem, with Samsung's seeming slightly better. But there is no guarantee that will continue from either company.
Totally un-sci, but in situations where we have both been taking pics, I feel the 7 Pro is getting better pics, more often. But I do like that the S22 Ultra has a bigger optical zoom.
I think don't think you will lose with either choice, but I would still go with the 7 Pro. I'm in agreement with a YT review I saw before I purchased, where the guy said the S22 Ultra has better hardware, but the 7 Pro has better software. I really like all the neat add-ons you get with the pixel.
*I hate the corpo Fanboi mentality, so just for disclosure, I've never owned a Google or Samsung phone before

The one issue is the battery life. It was never great but now after a couple years it is pretty sad. The Battery Saver mode helps quite a bit & doesn't really throttle performance.
I would certainly miss the unlimited "Size Saver" photo/video backups to Google Photos we have with the Pixel 3 line....

Searching "Pixel Watch" on Google today might result in a sponsored ad for the Google Store that describes a "Black Friday sneak peek – Pixel Watch (Wi-Fi) offer." The page description says" Great deals are coming soon: Save $50 on the Pixel Watch (Wi-Fi) 11/17-11/28. Terms apply. Track your daily activity, calories burned, and heart rate with Fitbit acct. & mobile app."
This would bring the Wi-Fi Pixel Watch to $299 with the offer running from next Thursday to Cyber Monday. Amazon, Best Buy, and other retailers will presumably follow in also taking $50 off. Meanwhile, discounts on first-party bands would also be popular.
Pixel 7: 599
Tradein: -275
Pricematch -100
Total: 225 + 10% tax (on $499) = $275 Out of pocket
+ add referral credit for $100 Google store credit - but it seems like people are unsure if you can combine that here or not...
