Exactly. This is a better deal than the pre orders, I rather have this lower price than getting back Google store credit
True. Plus if superfan 100 promo works with this, then it will be a blast.

were you saying even at the same cost, you would prefer Pixel 7 Pro over S22 ultra? I am sitting on the fence, don't know which one to go.
i thought about getting the S22 ultra, so i compared the android experience with Samsung tablet vs Google Pixel, i like the Pixel better. if you are heavy user in any of the google stuff (eg nest, router, services) id stick to Pixel.
my pixel 3xl is still a solid phone for me, doin the upgrade cuz i wanna record in 4k 😆

If both were new and with same storage option at the same price?... It would be really close. The difference between screen brightness and battery life aren't noticeable outside of benchmarks (to me anyway) and I'll never use the pen or play intensive games on it (strictly PC Master Race).

Both have pretty aggressive trade-in deals once you are in the ecosystem, with Samsung's seeming slightly better. But there is no guarantee that will continue from either company.

Totally un-sci, but in situations where we have both been taking pics, I feel the 7 Pro is getting better pics, more often. But I do like that the S22 Ultra has a bigger optical zoom.

I think don't think you will lose with either choice, but I would still go with the 7 Pro. I'm in agreement with a YT review I saw before I purchased, where the guy said the S22 Ultra has better hardware, but the 7 Pro has better software. I really like all the neat add-ons you get with the pixel.

*I hate the corpo Fanboi mentality, so just for disclosure, I've never owned a Google or Samsung phone before Smilie

Yeah I still like my 3XL as well. Still really snappy. Much faster than any Samsung phone I have had previously with all the un-removable bloatware.

The one issue is the battery life. It was never great but now after a couple years it is pretty sad. The Battery Saver mode helps quite a bit & doesn't really throttle performance.

I would certainly miss the unlimited "Size Saver" photo/video backups to Google Photos we have with the Pixel 3 line....

Google might discount the PIXEL WATCH for Black Friday

https://9to5google.com/2022/11/07...ck-friday/

Searching "Pixel Watch" on Google today might result in a sponsored ad for the Google Store that describes a "Black Friday sneak peek – Pixel Watch (Wi-Fi) offer." The page description says" Great deals are coming soon: Save $50 on the Pixel Watch (Wi-Fi) 11/17-11/28. Terms apply. Track your daily activity, calories burned, and heart rate with Fitbit acct. & mobile app."

This would bring the Wi-Fi Pixel Watch to $299 with the offer running from next Thursday to Cyber Monday. Amazon, Best Buy, and other retailers will presumably follow in also taking $50 off. Meanwhile, discounts on first-party bands would also be popular.

Hmm so if I have this right Pixel 7 w/ Pixel 3 XL trade in:
Pixel 7: 599
Tradein: -275
Pricematch -100
Total: 225 + 10% tax (on $499) = $275 Out of pocket

+ add referral credit for $100 Google store credit - but it seems like people are unsure if you can combine that here or not...
You can add that. It's only one promo code allowed. It stacks with sale and trade in.

Thanks!!! I guess they should take $100 off minimum. Saw reviews mostly negative about crappy battery life, other things are good, including screen, some of the review also mentioned it should be little bigger, but I would get it if its $100 off and I have $200 credit from Pixel 7 Pro phone deal.

Price match? You buying now and then are going to ask for a price match later?

Yes it seems like that's the plan - if they refuse just return the phone (and you have 30 days to do the trade in I believe so you can also wait to do that until they confirm if they'll price match)

Mint seems to have the best deal so far for the 7 Pro... just wish I could do something with my black screen of death Pixel 5a5g. It is running a custom OS (GrapheneOS), so neither Google nor Ubreakifix will look at it.

I just attempted the trade in+ referral code but the code discount isn't being reflected at the checkout despite having a valid code. Anyone let me know if you are able to process both at checkout.

The code isn't a discount on the price. It's a gift of $100 after purchase to use on another purchase. Figure it like a gift card given after purchase.
