Just bought an S21 from Amazon for $300, got $800 trade-in on this phone and walked out with a gift card for around $50 and a brand new S22+.

Oh man. Samsung and Best Buy caught up on the trade ins. They lowered the S21s to only $600 in trade-in value.

What do I do if I have to transfer materials from my trading in phone to the new phone? I want to trade in right there so there is no funny business of them downgrading value of the phone later. Can I do this at the store or will the Geek Squad help me with this?

Even without hardware comparisons, just the additional year of OS updates alone makes it worthwhile if you are not spending more on it.

Take a backup and restore on new phone when you get home.
Use Smart Switch in store before you hand over your trade in.
Geek Squad will do it but they will charge you for it.
