Just got one. No issues. Easy process.
Whats the process like? Just go to store with old phone and ask for the deal? What if they dont have the color I want in stock at store? Can they order?

I want to say 'yes', but I don't want to say something I'm not 100% sure of. It got confusing and I didn't want to keep asking them questions. So take all this with that understanding.

Basically they processed the new (unlocked) 22+ first without referencing to a T-Mobile upgrade, it showed the $600 promo in some fashion, then upgraded my T-Mobile number onto the phone. There were a lot of discounts showing onscreen (incl the current $250 sale) and I just hoped it would all balance out. Thankfully it did
At the store right now and asked about activation, but was told they couldn't activate.

Yes, all the BBs around me have zero stock of S22s. They ordered mine last night and it should arrive tomorrow. Only thing was that I had to factory reset and give up my trade in S21 right away. I'm on an old beater phone for a little bit.

How is the sales tax calculated?
Example
$750 phone
- $800 credit for s21 (which it looks like is $600 from Samsung, $200 from BB)
Looking at earlier comments, Id likely pay tax on $750-600=$150? I can travel to DE to pay no tax, but not worth it if I only save on $150 of taxes.
That is how it worked for me. I bought an S22+ (256GB) and traded in an S21. They gave me a $600 coupon and a $200 gift card for my old phone.

My new phone was $799.99, so it was $799.99-$600 (coupon) = $199.99
+ $11.70 (6% PA sales tax on the $199) = $211.69
$211.69 - $200 (gift card)
I paid $11.69 out of pocket

I found an S21+ with one day delivery for $328. Can't find that one again so maybe gone, but I did see a few other S21 that had 2-3 day delivery. Maybe people saw this thread and ordered the fast ship ones.

I'm going today, the refurb will be delivered today so I haven't done the trade in yet but expecting it to go smooth once I pull up the best buy promo page with the trade in values for $800. I'll ask about any other promos like the one mentioned recently getting extra for activating in store. I'll just swap my sim card and let them activate it if I get extra discount/gift card.
I could not find any with 1 day delivery.
Fingers crossed that this deal is still alive by the time I get my Amazon order I guess.
Thanks for quick responds.

You did not choose trade in on the online order, right?

In store purchase or in store order - clear and most likely would work if you get a right rep

On line order with store pickup - YMMV, the $600 trade in promotion may or may not apply, then you may have to cancel the pickup order and purchase it at the store with trade in, if all the promos are still valid at that time then you get the same deal.

I went to 2 stores in NJ and both have system issues processing the Samsung part of the promo. Both limit one trade per ID. 😭

Interesting so basically it cost a bit extra to get the 256gb not just $50 due to sales tax. In CA it would be like $65. Hmm maybe will rethink my plan and just get the 128gb and $50 GC.

Can we trade in a carrier locked phone or does it have to be unlocked?

Extra $200 discount in store for activation
So this can be applied on top of $800 trade-in value of Galaxy S21 5G? I'm seeing all sorts of different carrier activation, but this is the first time I'm seeing this after browsing through every single post. How can we try to get this extra $200 discount?

It would not be $65 because tax is based on $199.

A huge 👍 to the OP and the last few posts regarding the $200 activation deal adder. I walked in with my S20 FE and walked out with a new S22+ with an Otterbox case, screen protector, and a few $s left on a gift card which I gave to the Best Buy rep as a tip.

I will have a $35 activation charge on my next TMobile bill but who cares.

This was definitely one F'ing hot slick deal.

Thanks to you all actually for pushing the limits of this deal.

Oklahoma City, OK Best Buy just off the 40...

As an edit, the BB rep handled the Smartswitch for free too.

So looks like this we week there is additional $250 activation discount on Tmo upgarde and $200 for ATT upgrade. Anyone know if you do new account/new line are the activation discounts the same or more? Typically in the past the new line activation discounts were an additional $100 than the upgrades? Anyway to find out this info beforehand?
