Big thanks to everyone who shared info on this deal!

My BB rep couldn't get the $250 Tmo discount to apply to a pickup/delivery phone order, so I went with the 128 GB variant they had in stock. He also couldn't apply the "extra" $91 promo value to accessories or the gift card so that is essentially lost unless you choose a more expensive phone (like the Ultra or 256 S22+ if they have it in stock).

So, start to finish, I bought a used locked S21 128 from Amazon for about 320, and got the S22 128 and $200 BB gift card. I did go through with a cheap case and screen protectors for $15x2, but it's totally worth it to try to keep BB doing this promo in the future Smilie

***If you have Verizon, the Samsung rep said they are offering the TIV deal plus 250 and another 250 for upgrades. This would likely net a $450 BB GC if buying same phone and trading same phone. EDIT: Judging from the post above mine, the Verizon discount is equal to Tmo, just an extra $250 with "loss" of value unless you get a pricier phone.

Final OOP cost ~$120 plus the time to research and have the BB rep try several attempts to do the 256 variant and try to apply lost value, etc.

$200 BB GC and phone in hand...I'm a happy camper!

Sorry to everyone who have terrible experiences with this. The BB I went to was a great experience, essentially going above and beyond to try to maximize the value for me. All I had to do was be patient and walk the reps through the steps that you all shared on here. Good luck and happy holidays!
Since there's so many pages, can you please put all the steps you did in one post? How did you end up with 200 dollar gift card? I thought it was $50 after applying part of it to purchase?

My local Best Buy is getting an error when typing in 'samsung' for the enhanced trade-in value, their computer says that the coupon was used too many times in one day or something like that. I know I didn't use it and no one used my phone number, so I was asked to try again tomorrow. They assured me that both the $250 off and the enhanced trade-in value ARE STILL VALID.

Saw someone selling an s21 with a dirty imei number. Does anything think I can still trade that in and not bite me in the ass later?
They check IMEI when you do the trade in. No go.

I traded in a note 20 ultra for a s22+ 128GB. Walked out with a $29 balance left on the gift card (after taxes and everything) and an unlocked phone. Great deal as I'll use the 22+ to upgrade when the 23U comes out next year.

Does anyone know how long it has to be since your last upgrade to activate via T-Mobile? I let a family member use my line to upgrade their phone less than a year ago. I hope I'm not screwed.

hi Napoleon, you're in luck since you voted for Pedrowwwww....you can upgrade the second time after a coupe of days.

Did you get any error message. I couldn't trade in since I was getting an error message when applying the coupon. Looks like someone else may have used my IMEI.

The store that I went didn't have it in stock but they were able to apply the trade in credit and ship the phone to my home.

The plan I have had for 5 years. I think people are getting confused. Activating does not mean adding a new line. You either activate it in store by them "turning it on" or you call your carrier when you leave the store to make it active on your plan.
I am not a TMobile/Sprint customer. I will have to add a new line, right?

Where was this and your local time. I did my last one this afternoon around 330pm PST and it worked then. You sure they are inputting it correctly? Have you done the deal before at this store?

Someone at Fedex really screwed me over... I live in Connecticut, bought a phone on ebay from Queens, NY and now the package is in Tennessee lmao
That's weird. It should have been re-rerouted at the regional distribution center.
Is it coming via some weird priority next day air service?

The deal is NOT dead. One person reporting an issue does not equate to the sky falling. I was advised to return tomorrow for another try. I believe that one of the promotions ends 12/11/2022 and one ends 11/13/2022; they were clear that the deal is still valid now and tomorrow. Sadly I didn't get much detail out of them, not great communication.

Can anyone confirm if they offer $100 extra on top of the $250 activation discount if you dont have a t-mobile line?

Can you cancel without fees after the purchase?
