The BB trade-in imei check can't differentiate between different variants of the same model, including U vs U1. Don't ask why I know.

Just make sure now it's a "T-Mobile" phone it shows up in online trade-in with the color and storage configuration you have under the T-Mobile variant. In-store they use the same tool and a rep can give you problems if it's not the exact configuration they accept for trade-in.

It was showing out of stock near by 2 Best Buy. But I checked yesterday they both got 1pc in stock and was able to upgrade from s21 to s22+. And also today it is showing 1 more in stock. So they are getting about 1 or 2 pc each day in stock. So check near by your Best Buy. Every day 2 times. You might get one.

Not necessarily. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet last year couple weeks early during their early Black Friday deal for $449.99. It never went down to the same price, but did go on sale again at $479.99 during BF week. There are no guarantees, which is what people are trying to get across.

Upgrading an existing line should be enough. But prices will be different. New line or new account $649.99, upgrade $749.99.

In my case, I really want the S22 Ultra. So what I was able to do is trade in my S21 Ultra and walk out with a $500 coupon on the "flagship class" phones (good until 12/11/22) an a $400 gift card. Rolling the dice a bit, but my fingers are crossed that the Ultra will be on sale for a halfway decent savings between now and 12/11/22. (I had originally thought about getting an S22+ and keeping it unopened, but I feared that the coupon/gift card might alter the value of the exchage/return).

Yep. The coupon means that if you return the phone (unless it's an exchange), you'll likely lose the value of the coupon.

Good way to extend the enhanced trade in value at least till 12/11/22? Is the coupon valid for online purchases too? Last time S22 Ultra hit to $699 online IIRC.
