Just got back from trading in S21+ for S22+. All worked great. I ordered the S22+ 256GB online shipped home, since there were no 256GBs in stock in my local store. Did a return/rebuy and traded in my S21+. Took some time because at one point the guy in the store had to reboot his computer and that took absolutely forever for it to restart. Got $600 coupon + $200 gift card, walked out paying $15.49 in sales tax plus turning in my S21+ for the S22+. Amazing deal.

Funny thing happened in the middle of it. Someone from the store pickup area came over to pick a 256GB S22+. Someone had tried to order it online for in-store pickup between my return and rebuy. 😂 The person helping me had to explain to the one trying to pick it what was going on.

Sorry, was confused, rereading your post. The person that tried couldnt do it? 256 are now OOS , cant order for in store pickup. You were lucky you did it early enough

Yeah, I ordered mine on Wednesday, shipped to me. It arrived this morning. After my return but before I finished rebuying it, the online stock system said my store had one in stock, so it let someone order that for 1-hour pickup. But they are sure to be disappointed since it had to be canceled.

Yes, I had to turn in my trade-in immediately. Yes, T-Mobile and Verizon "upgrade" using the unlocked device gives you an extra instant rebate of $250. So the phone was only $500, free after the trade-in promo/coupon. I wish I had ordered the 256 for $50 more (would have still been free) :-/ but either way I'm trading in when the S23 launches (don't forget sign up as a preorder when Samsung starts promoting the new model!!)

Clarification on the S22+ 256gb: it is currently on sale for $799, after the carrier upgrade (TMO/VZW) $250 instant discount it is $550, so the $600 coupon makes it free and you still get the $200 credit as a gift card. If your trade-in isn't in the $800+ tier, the terms will be different and you'll have to ask how much is the coupon value vs credit value. Also the promotion changes on Nov 15th but some of us speculate that the next promo will target the S22 Ultra which historically has the BEST trade-in value towards new model releases. I chose not to wait because this makes me money, but if you miss it... there might be something "better" coming next.
