Yes. With inflation, this is better than nothing. Depending on where you are, could be up to $11 in savings.

The amount of food you get for the price you pay at PE is ridiculous. In most markets, you are better off buying the combo platter at your local Chinese take-out than at Panda Express. For example, the orange chicken bowl at PE costs 8-9 dollars whereas the orange chicken combo platter will cost 6-7 dollars in most markets. Plus, the food taste better and you get more in quantity.

I quit eating PE years ago. That company are sheisters. Never consistent. Always excuse for missing something. I'll gladly spend my money at a local authetic Chinese restaraunt.

I wish they were still 6-7. Chinese take out where i live cost around 9 to 10 dollars here now. Very rare occasions you will find them under 8. Although i do agree the portion size is typically way better at your local chinese.
Agree đŸ’¯ same for me. Locally and while on travel I have found all lunch prices have gone up and now starts around $8-$10 without drinks and other cost

The new sesame chicken dish is 9/10, but other than that, there's not much to get excited about at Panda these days

I agree. I go to Trader Joe's and get a similar tasting dish for significantly less. I can't imagine spending $11 on a bowl , let alone $30

....The vietnamese food has been the most inflated since Covid, not sure I understand why.
Probably because of apps like Ubereats, Grubhub, etc. App fees and demand pushes the price up. They realized they can charge a lot more when they see the $$$ other places are charging on the apps. Also, now they can reach more diverse group of customers, like rich lazy 'muricans who are willing to pay for delivery, service fees and tips.

Panda Express in all of west coast states like cali oregon wa are much more cheaper than local chinese mom and pop.

In fact, Panda Express still pretty much holds the same price as before the trillions of dollars pumped into the US market because of Covid.

1 plate of Panda Express = $9.50 used to be $9
1 Big Mac sandwich = $4.50 used to be $2.99
1 Chipotle Burrito = $11.50 used to be $8.99
1 bowl of pho = $15 used to be $9.50
1 banh mi sandwich = $7 used to be $3.99

All prices are based on before March 2020 vs now
i hear ya
most Chinese or Asian restaurant prices are out of control, I actually know more Chinese starting to eat panda because of the crazy price increase(me included), pho used to be like 10 and it's now 13~14 for small, plus tax and tips that is easily $18 for a bowl of noodle. where panda for me I can still have leftovers(when I use their free entrée coupon) and it's $12 fixed, it's greasy as hell but I don't eat it everyday

Gift card didn't work. Spent 30 mins with customer service and they would not refund me the 30 dollars because I opened the gift card. Hell yeah I opened it. I tried to use it but it's not working. After 30 mins of explaining to them common sense, I hung up without a refund. I am never eat at panda express again. I can deal with 50% of the time my order missing something but this was the deal breaker for me.

This! Went to lunch today and realize a bowl of noodles similar to pho is like $13 before tax. These bowls used to be like $7-8... at the prices now, having a panda plate, can leave me left overs for another meal and i get a free bowl..

When did you buy the gift card? Sometimes it takes a while (maybe a day or so) for the card to be activated after purchase.
