They can see all the cool states they haven't been to because of covid 😀
They don't need the states to be colored as that will take memorization.
They just need to know large cities are blue, desolate areas are red. Lesson done!
P.S. - When I give this to my kids I'm removing Florida. I don't want them to know about that insane place… just going to pretend it's like Puerto Rico… tell them we own it, but we don't like it enough to make it a state.
You might be joking but part of the problem today is that kids pick up on prejudices adults carry around them leading to more polarization. Kids need to learn to think critically on their own and make their judgements.

Agree that kids are very good at picking up prejudices from adults (who should have none in the first place!) I was half kidding but that can actually be a US History class lesion. Blue, red, swings states are facts of life and will not disappear as long as the electoral college voting system is still around. One could pretend to be colorblind but facts won't change. Vast majority of people' lives throughout the country can be affected by a few swing states, in addition to disproportionally tiny percentage of people living in the usually red states middle of US. Winning the popular vote doesn't necessarily make you the US president. Acknowledging the differences in colors, or problems is first step if you wanna get rid of the Electoral College. 🙂
"today"? You mean "throughout eternity"
