I see a lot of bad reviews about this model. People complaining about bios, problem with hibernation, gpu throttling and also about power consumption while laptop is charging. Good deal but dangerous to buy because of problems people described...

Well this laptop was $50 cheaper about a month ago at $1099.99. So probably a good chance it at least goes to that price again closer to BF, or even cheaper maybe.

Judging by reviews support won't resolve your problems. I wanted to buy this laptop but because of reviews (too many issues might occur) I've decided not to get it. As I wrote before the most common problem is bad bios update which cause hibernation issue or gpu throttling issue (depends of bios version). And as an owner of gigabyte g5 md (rtx 3050ti) I would say gigabyte doesn't care much about their software updates or fixes...

I wouldn't buy a Laptop now if they were 50% off. Meteor Lake will be revolutionary at 5nm from Intel 20% higher clocks at same power. On the Mac side Apples delayed M2 will be 3nm and just be unstoppable.

what's always interest me is that how could regular laptop manufactures like gigabyte (or any big brand name) can give you a full i7 + 3070 laptop for about 1100 dollars and be sold via B&M store like bestbuy.

then you got online only companies like minsforum that doesn't have to profit share with any BM stores, and the best they can do for half a 3070 laptop (basically a laptop without battery, screen, keyboard...) is 1100 USD....

Interestingly the acer predator 300 at $999 will be faster for gaming despite having a lesser gpu thanks to the higher wattage , better cooling and faster memory.
