Wow, seems like one of the best deals for around $1000 that I've seen. Only downside is HD size? Great specs…Thunderbolt, 16gb, 12th gen, anti-glare, 3070…This would be my choice if I was in the market for $1000 laptop..hard to hold out till BF…
Ordered one of these open box excellent last time this went fp. It came scratched and super dirty. It was also missing it's charger. I've ordered numerous open box items from bby but this was the first bad experience. Just a heads up for those considering open box
I feel stupid for asking but I have 0 knowledge of Laptops and computers. How can I better learn to understand what I'm buying? I'm trying to see if this deal is better than this Laptop: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...82k80080us

Not even close to the g15 in terms of build quality, GPU, and screen.

If you need to ask, "what is this?", I suggest you don't buy it.
To better assist you:
This is a gaming laptop at a very, very good price from a trusted retailer and the technical specs and price is what makes this a very decent deal for a gaming laptop.
Why?
Screen is very good
Gpu is very good -- typically a low watt and weaker model would be at this price point
Processor is very good
RAM is good
YES it's better than your Lenovo deal
IF you want a gaming laptop (which will have very poor battery life IF you're gaming on it) this is a pretty good deal.
If you just want a regular old laptop to browse the internet on - - this is definitely not for you as it's overkill and you can get what you need at a much lower price point

* $50 difference in price
* 3070 8gb vs 3060 6gb (both high wattage versions)
* SD card reader vs none
* 16GB DDR4 vs 16GB DDR5
Not sure if the Gigabyte can charge over usb-c PD like the Acer
Now… to cancel the Acer, or not…
I like the 3070 for games/encoding but DDR5 will speed everything up…
Edit: looks like it's not available for shipping or pickup for me anyway
