No comments? Looking for one for basement. It says smart mapping but can you see the map in the app?

This is not a deal at $79. It was down to $49 few months ago.

I was looking for some SD legit reviews too. Every single review on Walmart's website for this product is imported either from "Tzumi Electronics" or "Home Testers Club". With 8 pages of reviews, there isn't a single review from an actual Walmart customer. Which seems a bit sketchy for such a cheap vacuum...Spidey senses are tingling...

I bought this a month ago (online), and it has a UV feature. I don't use the UV because it drains the battery quickly, and without it, the IonVac runs for 60-65 minutes usually. The "smart mapping" on the app shows you where the IonVac has been, and you can't use that map to block off rooms for future usage. After recharge, it will not remember which rooms it has already cleaned and will start with places it has already cleaned (the map also resets). I've tried putting down magnetic strips to block off rooms, but it just ignores them. So, I usually have to gate off the room or close the door on the rooms I don't want to clean.

If you place the base station in an area where the IR has good coverage, the IonVac will find its way home. If not, it will bump around the room until it finds its way home (sometimes 1.5 hours later). It will stop vacuuming once it is down to 19% and will use very little battery to return to the base station. This is a great entry-level vacuum for the price ($60 shipping and taxes). If it were in the $100 range, I would look elsewhere. It does have excellent suction power and can easily transition from carpet to tile to hardwood floors. Overall I am satisfied with the IonVac, and it does get the job done if you have small rooms and physically block off the rooms you don't want it to go in.

I bought one last year. It has been working well and it is as good as other robovacs that I have bought in the past. It's not this exact model but it was IonVac brand. Since it was so cheap that I bought extended warranty protection for $10. That gave me 3yrs warranty. I did sent in for repair once and it has been working great.

Of course, it's a YMMV thing like any other electronic products.

Works fine as a basic vac. Haven't really had issues for a year now. But now I moved and haven't been able to pair back to it on the app to get it on the new wifi.. it still vacs.
