If you get the email that you are not eligible, just remove the venmo and readd it through this link and it works

Same issue with Visa, can't seem to add the card when authorizing Venmo to Amazon. Had to go to the Venmo dashboard > settings > payment method > add card then it worked. Then you can click the Amazon link to authorize Venmo and select the card.

hmm.. I tried it on my mobile and desktop and it wouldn't work no matter what I did but I just got the following email from Amazon,

We have an update about your attempt to add Venmo on Amazon.
We're sorry, you are not eligible to earn a $10 promotional credit for adding Venmo as a payment method. For more details, please refer to the Terms and Conditions below. There was a problem adding your Venmo account as a payment method on Amazon. Please try again later.

I don't think i've ever gotten an email like this when an offer wouldn't work through them.

First I tried desktop, didn't work for me.

Then I tried mobile, worked without any issue, got $10 into my amazon account.

Why I would want to use venmo when my amazon chase card gives me 5% CB I have no idea, but I'm glad to take the $10 for less than 1 minute of work.
