We have the 12-person version of this tent for five years now and my family of FOUR loves it! We have two queen size memory foam camp mattresses on either end with plenty of space on the sides to stash things. The middle area is completely empty and could easily fit another queen size mattress. So I would say six people could very comfortably fit in the 12-person version.

Air circulation is excellent in these, no accumulation of dew in the mornings at all. The dark rest interior is extremely comfortable as it blocks out lights from nearby campers when my kids go to sleep early and allows us a couple more hours in the morning when the sun comes up early. During the daytime we open up all the many windows so the breeze can keep us cool.

Set up takes about 10 minutes with just two people and about 5 minutes to break-down afterwards. Other campers are always amazed how quickly we can do this! We pair the tent with a Coleman 13x13 pop-up canopy with sidewalls to prevent against wind. All this goes up very quickly and provides tons of space.

The negatives: 1) The dark rest application is starting to wear a bit so you can see pinpoints of light get through. Not bad yet but will probably require a replacement eventually. 2) There is no vestibule at all. So in pouring rain you would step inside directly from a muddy exterior. The pop-up canopy helps a lot but there is still a gap where rain will collect. 3) There is no matching footprint so you'll have to just get a big ground tarp. 4) The material is not for hard camping and it's HEAVY, so think of this as a car camping (glamping) tent and make sure to pick ground that isn't full of sharp rocks.

Overall, we absolutely love this tent! It will eventually wear out and we fully expect to buy the exact same tent as a replacement. Totally worth it.

I've had mine for like 5 years. There's a little fading of the black inside the tent which lets through a little light, but it's still a game changer. Held up great and love the ability to darken the tent. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. I've loved it and used it on probably like 20+ trips.

How's the quality on these? I had a Columbia instant tent that bit the dust 2 years in. No replacement parts because Columbia stopped selling tents. Don't want to contribute to landfill commerce so trying to decide if this is worth it.

I had a dark rest tent for a camping trip. I really liked it but it was just a little too small for my needs. This one seems too big lol. I'm hoping to get the 8 person tent with the screen area. If you need one this big I'd say get it.

The dark rest was really nice and helped me get a decent sleep and it was pretty easy to set up and take down. Can't speak on longevity but I've seen a lot of praise for ozark trail tents in the past.

I have an Ozark trail cabin style dark rest tent and I love it. I've had it for at least 5 years and it's great! I don't use it all that often anymore as it's hard to camp with a small toddler but it's worked great every time. If I camped more often, I'd get the bigger one. The dark rest is perfect for festivals too where there are stadium lights and things like that. Really helps to get a good night's sleep

If those two adults are the size of a car, sure. Two adults could comfortably use a 6 person tent.

I have same one, used just once. I could put 1 queen, 1 king air bed and still have a room. It is not instant tent, so you need 10-20 minute to assemble, I like it

Listing says it's an instant tent... product page says it takes 2-3 minutes to setup. Are you sure this is what you have? Also, I'm curious about the quality. Is the material thick and the seams well sewn?
