This is basically a better/upgraded version of the moto g play 2021 that I got for $79.00 brand new more than a year ago, that phone has 3gb of ram and 32gb built in storage while this has 4gb of ram, 64gb built in storage, better processor and the triple camera, decent phone but not a "slick" deal at $129.
I would say if this was $79 as of now in late 2022 during the holidays and going towards 2023 then it would be a pretty good deal, at $129 not so much.

It's not vastly superior. It's debatable if it's superior at all. Depends on what you value more. It's a matter of personal opinion. In fact the 21/22 scores higher in Antutu and other benchmarks. Yes, it has a lower screen res, which doesn't matter when it's on a tiny screen held at normal viewing distances. The 21 has a bigger screen and a fingerprint scanner on the side, easier and more natural to unlock the phone. The camera on the 21 is better as well. It loses wide screen (meh) but gains a depth censor (meh again).
