Man I really want this car seat, but I got the Uppababy Mesa for $174, and can't really justify the $300 more PLUS having to buy the adapters for my Uppababy stroller. Otherwise it's a great option, hardly seen these on sale.

I bought one a few months ago and love it. It's a little heavier than the Lite RX, but being able to use it without a base makes it great to take on vacation.

I hear ya. I'm waiting for sale for nuna rava. I have the mesa v2 for it's flame retardant free properties.

Sucks that the rava went up in price

Hope you find one, thought I saw one not too long ago. If you don't mind me asking, would you recommend buying a car seat way ahead of time if you find a good deal for it? Our baby is not even here, so would find it a bit silly to buy a non-infant car seat so early.

Does anyone think the Relx base is worth over the original base? Thinking about the other pipa lite lx w/standard base deal at Nordstrom vs pipa lite w/relx base on Nuna's website for about the same price. Pipa lite lx also has nicer materials and dream drape and nicer materials.

This carseat is great. Yes expensive, but the ease of popping it on the base is insane. No need to wake up the baby and can just put the whole carseat in the stroller or carry in the house. My baby is now 10mo and still using this, but will be using the RAV next. I highly recommend, but yes big investment.

What justifies the price? I thought the Uppababy Mesa was already expensive yet it's still $150 cheaper than this, and has the same features.

I've been researching baby travel systems and it seems all of them have this functionality. What do you like about this that a more affordable brand like Graco or Chicco couldn't provide?

I wonder the same. I think it's the sleek look as well since Graco as well has really good padding and snaps into the base. My baby turned out to be very tall even though we are both average height and outgrew her infant car seat around 8months and we got the Graco 4ever (of course still rear facing, even now she's 2.5 years old still rear facing because the legs extend) as long as it has cup holders and snaps in the base or stroller you are fine
