As a side note I had premium for a year with my current Fitbit, and the only thing I lost when it canceled was a LITTLE information that escapes me at the moment and a sleep animal classification. If I go into the app and click on resting heart rate I can see that my average for a week, a month, 3 months, or all of a year (21 or 22) was X. The same is true for heart points and sleep. The only thing that doesn't go back is my food log but I think that is because it is stored on the cell phone itself and I changed cell phones about 3 months ago. Not sure if this is because I was originally a premium member or not but it really looks like you will have access to your data for as long as you have the app....

Cancelled my Amazon order for this. The band on my Charge 3 disintegrated, so it'll save me $5 on purchase price now, and $10 on a replacement band later. The screen also died and the battery wouldn't charge eventually...

Here's hoping google improved manufacturing standards on the 5!

BJs.com has the same tracker at 89.99 and free shipping. Better deal in my opinion since you save on shipping. Also, BJs website shows if your local store has it in stock for pickup. Costco needs to get better at their website

If they didn't improve things Costco's return policy likely has got you covered as unlike the versa 2's smart watch classification (90day return period) this is an activity tracker with the usual "reasonable" Costco return period (for my reasoning see warranty part for this item vs the specific
"90 day return period" listed for the versa: https://www.costco.com/.product.100510619.html )

If it was in the last 30 days you can call for a price match or use the online form: https://customerservice.costco.co...com-orders if it was more than 30 days ago you'd have to return and re-buy to get the lower price.

I love my charge 5. I'm an android user and the app is lacking compared to its iOS counterpart. Especially in food tracking and properly displaying goals.

For example, when logging food on an android app, you have to log each thing individually. If you have common meals that you eat regularly let's say your coffee every morning with the same amount of creamer, on an iOS device when you select the coffee it will suggest the creamer automatically.

When looking at or setting your goals from the android device, it's not accurate. For example if you set your goal for mileage on android, and then go look at it on an iOS device or on the web of your face, you'll see that it's actually higher than what you said on the android device. The problem is, the android device will display what you said and then you'll never get to your goal because the charts are based on the actual set values. Similarly when logging your way and it automatically puts in 20% for your body fat percentage. If you just leave that there, it messes up all of your body fat percentage charts because it equates to an entirely different value in the backend

The irony of this of course is that Google owns Fitbit but the app still works better on Apple devices than it does on their own devices.

Can I ask a beginner question. Does this need a phone to go with it. Wondering if I can give it as gift to a kid. Not sure if he has a phone.
