Um, please tell me my math is incorrect:

Whey Protein Isolate, after coupon, is $185.49 / 200 servings = $0.93/serving

Serving Size = 1 Scoop or 25g

25g x 200 servings = 5000g or 11 lbs.

$185.49 / 11 lbs. = $16.86/lb.

Last Black Friday, isolate was ~$5/lb.

Why do you think they put all that effort into hiding the lbs and converted everything into a much harder to understand "serving size" so it makes it directly harder to do the math on how much $/lb it is.

It wasn't because someone stumbled across the label makers, this was a well-thought-out decision that took weeks or months for the company to decide how to pull this off and how much it would cost them in both reprinting labels and packaging and redoing their websites info as well as how much they expect their customer base to decide to leave them for the dishonesty and shadiness. They've calculated it down to the penny. And the only way to let them know they done farked up is to

BUY ELSEWHERE.

It's sad because I was their strongest proponent when the labdoor samples came out for years... Nothing good stays the same.

If I am not mistaken, last year the best deal on isolate was on Cyber Monday. So don't get discouraged if you don't see anything on BF, it might still come on Cyber Monday

Any protein 'deals' that don't include the weight get an instant thumbs down from me.

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation, bud.

If quality is what you're after just go to labdoor and pick their best balance between cheapest and highest quality. I'm just abhorrently against rewarding bad/shady business practices with my money. Wouldn't matter if these guys were the absolute best in the world, I'd sooner buy my own cow and milk it for whey than give them money after they pull this shit

Triple/quintuple price hike and obfuscating the labels to make it sound like you're getting more than you are, deal breaker for me.

I got in on the iHerb sale recently and got a few 5lb bags for 29 a piece, they're the chocolate flavor but not as strongly chocolate as other brands. No sugar though they use monk fruit and stevia so that's a plus to me

A better recommendation than the one in the post right above yours?
Only other thing is to swing by GNC when you have a $10 off $40 coupon and shop the clearance pile

Just so I know, whey protein prices have no supply chain excuses since whey is a byproduct of the heavily subsidized milk/cheese industry which the U.S. has a ridiculous surplus of, right? Or at least not bad enough to have prices increase this substantially?

They are not a US company... They are in the UK and may have production facilities in Canada as well.
