I think there's a statistic that the best deals are before black friday. black friday deals are kinda garbage items that get you in the door in my experience. slickdeals happen at 2am from a price mistake 😏

I learned from another comment that Costco insurance does not cover burn in. Just FYI

Lowes had their 20% coupon working on G2 and C2. 77 G2 was 2450 after coupon and C2 was 2000 after coupon. This was last week.
Yup I missed that deal.. They went quick and the 2450 will be plus tax.. That only lasted maybe around 2 hours?

Hmm...getting cheaper and cheaper. Do I return the B2 55 I picked up for 999, and get the 65 for 1299? That price differential is getting smaller!

I think its worth the money, but not sure if its worth the headache...

snagged the B2 OLED 65in for $1299. This is a great deal. Costco is selling the 55in B2 for $999 on Black Friday. The $1299 price point is the best deal ever with a 5-year warranty.

Just pulled the trigger on this 77" under 2K for LG OLED with warranty. This has the PQ of the excellent C1 last year - SOLD! More than bright enough in my room surrounded with windows. I already have 2 OLED, ZERO burn in. Costco warranty is all you need, more likely to get a power supply or main board failure vs burn in these days.
This is replacing a sony X95J I scored on the Walmart $1300 deal, looks excellent for LED but you can't go back once you have a true black oled in the house! It can't produce that 3D look the OLEDs have. Not even gonna talk about the piss poor VRR support out of Sony, flagship TV still can't do Dolby vision and 4K120 / VRR at the same time. My CX looks as beautiful as the day I got it, 2500 hours in. LG light sensors with Dolby vision IQ also works great, no need to fiddle with the picture day/night.

Look for midway the thread... 20% coupon was for $9 which worked on both 77 C2 and G2 as they were listed on sale price as MSRP.

Will black Friday offer a better deal? Any thoughts?
This price is valid till 12/24, if you're OK with rolling dice it won't go OOS. Otherwise, buy and don't open. I don't think this is that exceptional of a deal though. I'd wait and see personally

For those curious about the C2 vs the B2, the only glaring fault I found with the B2 is that only 2 out of the 4 HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1 speed, and one of those is used for eARC to a receiver. So you may end up with only 1 really usable HDMI 2.1 port.

Yes. Do it.

Ok did it...dragged the 55 back to the store only to find the 65 still had the 1399 price.

Guy says they don't match the online price (not sure if he was being too lazy to check, or if that is policy) so went home and ordered for 1299.

Now I'm without a TV for 3 days, my Sunday NFL will be on a laptop screen tomorrowSmilie

I'd like to upgrade to a 77" or bigger tv. Currently I have a 65" c9. Would this be worth the upgrade as far as pq and brightness? Or would a c2 for 500 more be a smarter move.

An interesting comparison here. The G2 compared to the B2 is better in a couple of categories but equal in others.https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10 Main differences in HDR movies and gaming. It's hard to know how much weight to give to a 1-3 point difference in their rating scheme.
Consumer Reports scored the G2 86, C2 84, and the B2 79 out of 100 in the 77 inch size. G2 scored excellent, C2 very good, and the B2 good for HDR performance. The C2 scored excellent for sound quality while the B2 and G2 scored very good.
