Hi rms777. Smilie

What is Woot's return policy?
You may return most purchases within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. If the item being returned is not damaged or defective, we'll deduct the prepaid cost of return shipping from the refund. Once the item is received by Woot!, the refund will be applied.

I find Yamaha audio products' sound signature too bright while I like their musical instruments. For $160, I would pay a bit more for a pair of Sony XM4 and be done.

I have the Yhe700a and they sound great to me with AutoEQ to tame the bass some. Amazing for movies! Deep bass on these and Big big soundstage. I would recommend if you care about sound and build. Anc is good but maybe not XM4 good. Don't sleep on these cans.

I had the cheaper one and I returned it. It's decent but don't expect professional Yamaha quality.
It's made for yamaha by some OEM manufacturer(who makes tws earphones for big brands) to compete in the cheap tws market segment. $40 is about the right price for it.
The reason I returned it was the lack of any touch controls. You have to actually push the buttons into your ear. Sony C500(which could be considered its direct compettitor from Sony) also has non-touch buttons but they are more responsive and require less force.

I was intrigued by these because they are purportedly small and very comfortable. However, as per the link above I read the review on pc mag:

". And the pairing behavior hearkens back to the early days of true wire earbuds, in which one earpiece connects to your phone (or other audio source) and then the other attempts to pair with it. Now, most wireless earphones can pair independently (or simultaneously) with the source."

That's a deal breaker. Need to be able to use the right and left side independently. I guess I will have to splurge for the linkbuds S
