You have to spend $40 or more before tax, shipping, to use the coupon HSN2022.
So if you choose something cheaper, and that's your only item, it won't work.

This is essentially 20k points (2x Add-a-Line bonuses) on Tracfone for $30, 20k points gets you a $300 off coupon. That gets you multiple refurbished iPhone XRs you can trade in for a Pixel 7 or for Apple GC credit.

Use Chat to add a line! No need to mention bonus points at all. Tell the agent that you'd like to add a new Tracfone device to your existing account (xxx) xxx-xxxx. The agent will ask for the new phone IMEI (sometimes SIM # but it's really not necessary for a TF-branded phone with the original Verizon SIM) and send a 6-digit code to your main line for verification (this is key for points to be added). If the agent asks for your 4-digit Account PIN, do not give it to them. Sometimes they will ask for your email, don't provide that either. Remind the agent that this is to add a line to your main account, you already have an account PIN, and you don't need a new profile. Some agents will try to activate the new device before adding to your account, do not allow this to happen (no points this way). Ask the agent if they could add the device for later activation (should be Yes). Check your account in TF app, the pending add-a-line bonus points should appear within 30 seconds once it was added (the agent would tell you that). You may need to close and reopen the app to see the points. After you see the points in the TF app, you may proceed to activate, either ask the agent or do it yourself in the app. (click on the inactivate device, then activate device. Select New or Keep Number. Enter ZIP code for new #. Skip payment since this comes with 1-year service. Follow the instructions.)
I didn't see pending pts added, so I removed them from my account. Back and forth a few times, same thing.
Activated both lines from tracfone website (under manage lines link) on the same day.

triple reading the guide now and prob will have to re-read it when the phones show up.
but if all goes right I should wind up with 20k points and a total of 2 years of service/2400 minutes on my main account when all is said and done?

Switched on one of the phones and it was not getting activated by connecting to the network. Gave me a Verizon customer care number to call but was not able to get to a human to talk. Didn't get what to do and tried to activate the phone from myaccount TracFone app. Boom!!! it worked and app suggested that I restart phone. Restarted the phone and network got connected/activated.
Followed the same process, that is activated the line on website/app and then started the second phone. All worked well. I hope the combine points work well after 60 days. Thanks to OP, people who posted their experiences and suggestions.
One question, if we want to port out one of my line/number to another network, is that possible without impacting the original account?
Why do I even care about what the phone is like?
LOL. I don't. I just want the two car charger to be USB-C and more useful.
From the chat agent - "No, that is only valid if you add the line on the website and has to be a new activation, so you need to activate the phone. For example you need to make the activation of the new phone on the website and in there will give you a referral code that you need to add on your account website for those points."
Did TF change the add-a-line point procedure?
Anyone has the same issues with mins/txts/data ?
Update: after submit activate over the website for both lines added on my chatted agent. Minutes/txt/data shown up 1200/1200/1.17gb as it should. One phone is good to go, another one seems to be a defective one (wont recognize the installed sim card).
Activated phone #1 from website. No problem. Sent text and verified working.
Activated phone #2. It can't detect SIM and can't see any wireless network. Defective I guess. But website shows it's active.
My goal was to harvest 10 months per line plus the 20K bonus, by merging with existing line after 60 days. Do I have to send everything back to HSN and start over 2 weeks later? Maybe I could merge now with my pre-existing line and keep the service time, while losing the 20k. Thoughts anyone?

I started a chat and wrote...
"Hi. My name is John Smith. I am writing about the account for Tracfone number 202-555-1212 (IMEI 12121212121212). I would like to ADD a phone to my account FOR LATER ACTIVATION. I do not want to activate the phone now. The IMEI for the new phone is 0987654321. Thanks."
Side note: I had my account called up on my laptop and the new phone appeared instantly as well as the rewards points (10k). He then asked if there was anything else and I wrote....
"I would also like to add another phone FOR LATER ACTIVATION. I do not want to activate the phone now. The IMEI for the new phone is 1234567890."
Again the line appeared instantly along with the rewards points (10k).
One more thing: At bootup, the first thing I got was a pop-up to connect to wifi. I ignored it and proceeded with start up. Unfortunately, the phone did not activate properly. I am working with customer service to get that rectified. Online it shows as active. I am simply getting no service.
On the second phone I received a wifi pop-up again (immediately after booting up before proceeding to any screen). This time I connected to my wifi and continued booting. Service connected immediately. Not sure if wifi connection had anything to do with it.
I just copied this exact script into the chat window and everything was done in less than 2 minutes. The two phones showed up under manage accounts and I just activated them there online. I did notice when I turned on the phones they couldn't connect to wifi, but the problem was they can't connect to 5ghz band, but when I switched to 2.4ghz everything was fine.
