That doesn't fix the problem he addressed. The issue is that a 1lbs. tank doesn't last through the night, so you have to get up in the middle of the night and mess with relighting the heater. A 5lbs. or 20lbs. tank fixes that.
Just a heads up, I use a Mr. Buddy heater but if you use these in a tent or van then monitor for Carbon Monoxide. They can also cause condensation due to the propane.
Almost exactly the same as the big buddy. I bought this last year to keep a 10p tent warm for the kids. My wife and I were so hot we slept on top of our sleeping bags, kids were toasty and night temps were mid 40s.
Biggest thing I would note is that this isn't super practical with the 1lb tanks, you'll run out fast. Better to use a 20lb tank (less portable I know... but if your buying this then portability probanly isn't your #1 concern) as it will last 2-3 nights on high. You will need to buy a special hose for the 20lb tank though. Either you get a normal hose with a filter (these were oos everywhere last year) OR Mr buddy makes one that doesn't require the filter as it's specifically with materials that won't leech and clog the heater (SKU: F273704) https://www.mrheater.com/10ft-bud...embly.html

how many hours will i get running max or mid speed on the Blue Rhino regular full tank.
If you do propane tank exchange, you get 15lb propane. If you do propane refill, you get 20lb propane. Every two pound propane will give you 2.4 hrs (high) - 4.5 hrs (medium) - 9.2 hrs (low).
How safe is filling 1lb propane tanks from a 20lb? I don't want to lug around a 20lb canister and was thinking a Mr Buddy with fan might work to quickly heat up the bathroom, or a bedroom before bed, then shutting off the unit once it's up to temperature, kitchen in the morning where everyone eats breakfast before the kids head out to school and everyone takes off, that sort of thing.

Extremely safe. Just make sure using common sense doing that. Refill In a garage with door open or just do it outdoor. I have done this in garage with door closed. The empty bottle is 1lb. Full bottle is 2lb. You can use a kitchen weight scale to measure the bottles.
I am familiar with this process now. Frozen my eight empty bottles first day night. Connect to 20lb tank refill on second day. These bottles will only be filled at about 50%. Then I put those bottles in the frizzier again. On the third day I will connect them to 20lb tank again. This time they will be refill to about 100%. I don't need to measure them based on my experience.
Technically you only need to frozen empty bottles for 2-4 hours.
Now I just use propane cabinet heater which designed to only use with 20lb tank. They were all labeled as indoor safe previously as they have all safety features as this one in the list. For some reason some of this cabinets heaters don't advertise like that any more. If you search propane heaters on Amazon, you would see lots of same heaters with different brand name. Basically these propane heaters are all made in China with different brand tags. You would see most of those cabinet heats are still marked as indoor and only a few marked as outdoor.

do it only in open space, outdoors with a little wind around.

No issue just do the actual refilling where there's a lot of fresh air.
Freeze the 1 lb tank, and let the 20lb tank warm up (I used to just bring mine indoors if it was cold outside).
Install adapter (HF sells them), invert tank (it should rest perfectly on the top handle/ring), screw on 1 lb tank, then open the valve. When the hissing sound stops, turn off valve and unscrew the 1lb tank. You'll get a brief hiss from the propane escaping that was between the 20lb valve and the 1lb seal, but not a big deal.
Used this for recent camping where the temp dropped to 20F. I've used it on 6 people Teepee tent, under the lowest setting. Definitely not strong enough to warm the tent but it was around 40~42F inside the tent which I can't complain about. 2x1lb can last you 8 hours.

8 inch x 7 inch
C3H8 (propane) + 5O2 (oxygen) → 3CO2 (carbon dioxide) + 4H2O (water) + heat
One can convert to mass and end up with roughly this.
44 g Propane + 160 g Oxygen → 132 g Carbon Dioxide + 72 g Water
So roughly 72/44 = 1.6 pounds of water vapor are produced by burning 1 pound of propane. That's about 1/5 of a gallon of water.

You seem to be confused on how that idiom is used.

I think Mr. Heater's biggest bag looks bit small.

I'm trying to heat a two car garage (converted to home gym), any suggestions? Would a diesel heater work for garage?
Walmart site so hard to order and no shipping to CA but should give option to pay for shipping.
