Write speed is what differentiates good from bad, if anyone has stats on that.

About the speed differences, the 256gb version of this drive uses either faster memory, or a faster memory controller, than the 128gb or 64gb versions. The 256gb one will get you real fast speeds!

Damn if only this was double sided. I always like to upgrade everything, but 90% of my devices are still usb A. I don't see any movement for another 10 years at least where we are mostly USB C.
Can you plug this into an Android phone for extra storage?
Bear in mind that if you have a pixel phone only Pixel 6 and later on Android 13 has native access to exFAT drives. If you have any older Pixel even on Android 13, you are limited to FAT32 and 4 GB limit for file sizes. So it depends on the OEM if they baked in a better file system than FAT32 in their Android forks. I know Samsung does it.
There are apps on the Play store that say they can give you exFAT and NTFS compatible but in my experience they're painfully slow, and they require you to use their own file manager.

You can try calling them. CS rep was able to have me order, pay the $4.99 up-front, and they refund you on the back-end. Good luck.
I had some Samsung rewards and a credit to use, or else Amazon would have been easier.
I placed the order and just had them adjust it after. They apologized and said they'd alert the appropriate parties about fixing the site to reflect the advertised free shipping.
