Hey guys! Looking for some Dominoes advice. The pizza place. I dont normally eat their pizza but I am going to need to order some pizza on an upcoming Saturday for a teen party for our neighborhood. We are locked into Dominoes, they deliver to our neighborhood and in December I was able to get a good deal on gift cards. But like any good SDer, that's not good enough for me. So, I'm asking, how to score the best deal at Dominoes on a Saturday. Are there paper coupons somewhere? Internet deal? Should I download the app for app deals? Highly regionalized local specials that y'all cant help with? What's the Dominoes scoop? Thanks!

Dominos is pretty good pizza. If you go online, they should have several deals you can choose from. I think the two topping medium pizzas for $6.99 each, wyb at least 3, is a pretty good deal.

Make sure if you need some specialty pizzas that you choose them from the menu and don't try to build out the special priced pizzas with the extra toppings. I've found that if you need specialty pizzas, it's actually cheaper to choose the ones they have a set price on.

You can build a test order without actually ordering if there are other things you are going to buy from them also. The $6.99 deal includes dessert choices, boneless wings (8ct) and several types of breads.

You might also want to check to see how many gift cards you can apply to one order, as I don't know that. I think I may have applied two. You may also be able to pay in person instead of online, I think I did that once.

I really don't think there's a better price or deal available, I'll be interested in other people's feedback.

I get their spam emails all the time because I had gotten free pizza for something like so-and-so won the world series and we're giving away xx number of pizzas, but that was a long time ago. I guess I could unsubscribe from those emails. Anyways, let me check my emails and I'll post tomorrow if there's currently anything, or someone can also post if they get these spam emails. I can't do it until tomorrow.

Sorry, I don't see any recent spam emails. Maybe I did unsubscribe after all and forgot that I did but I did receive emails just about everyday or every other day. I don't know if those emails were just advertising what they had on their website or if they were really specials. Here's some sample emails for comparison purposes, though you have to keep in mind that there's inflation these days.

email from 5/20/21: Mix & Match Choose any two or more tiems for $5.99 ea
email from 5/18/21: Online & Domino's carside delivery only 5/10-5/23 49% off all pizzas at menu price 4-9 pm; 2 medium 2-topping pizzas for $5.99 ea
email from 5/18/21: Weeklong carryout deal any of our 5 crusts up to 3 toppings excludes XL and Specialty Pizzas $7.99 ea
email from 5/14/21: Avoid the Noid in Crash on the Run! Mobile game and with Domino's $5.99 mix & match deal 2 item minimum. Handmade pizza bread bowl. pasta and bone-in wings will be extra

I still get the emails regularly and the mix & match deal has increased to the $6.99, 3 item minimum I mentioned above. You comment made me think to check my emails, but I didn't see anything more interesting to offer from them.

I got a new email tonight that includes a link to opt in for Domino's emails and texts. It offers 20% off on your next order when you sign up here [dominos.com]. I have no idea if this % coupon can be used with the 6.99 price I mentioned before.

I notice more and more stores in my area taking a harder stance against us when a coupon does not scan.
Ex. If you have a coupon for $2 off pound of m&ms, and you buy exactly that, and then the coupon does not scan they say too bad.
Our new policy, we cannot override coupons if they do not scan, even if you have the exact item.
Is this the new trend?

It seems to be; at least in some areas. Here is a SD's thread that was recently started about this very topic.

We have a promo here in SoCal where we get a $3 tip for picking up our pizza. The tip can be used the following week. A large pizza is $7.99 with the website coupon less $3 for the tip so $4.99 + tax.

Probably nation-wide, as they advertise that here on the East Coast, too.

Have you tried talking to the shop owner/manager and saying I need xxx pies, whats the best you can do for me? I know there are mom and pop places in my area that cut deals when someone approaches them like that.
