Love this thing, never had issues pressing the correct button.
Use the logitech software to set the side buttons as
forward, back, next tab, last tab, close tab, view application windows (win-tab or ctrl-down on mac), wheel lean to next desktop last desktop, and the two additional index finger buttons as top of the page bottom of the page (usually just home and end)
and thank me later.
I have this mouse and it's really nice but depends for what type of gaming you're doing. It's great if you're playing an MMO or a game that requires a lot of buttons, for FPS games it's a little heavy and kind of bulky. Battery life is great though.

Too many buttons. Hard to consistently press the right one on the side.
It does feel to me like they've perfected so much about these mice...the accuracy, the ergonomics, battery life efficiency, the free scrolling/clicking wheel, etc. But they have to keep coming up with new/better mice, so we just get more and more arguably unnecessary buttons.
Love this mouse. Custom shortcuts per app/game. Perfect for fps games with lots of stuff like cyberpunk or doom eternal. I can't imagine life without it. I own 4.

I use this mouse every day after getting it from Best Buy in late 2020 on sale for $45. It works great for me, powered by a single AA battery that is easily accessible and lasts a pretty long time (I never specifically timed actual duration; easily weeks).
One of my favorite parts of it is the scroll wheel has an option to toggle between a clicking scroll or a free-spinning scroll (the choice I always use).
The six buttons easily accessible to the left thumb have a good feel and click to them, though I guess left-handed users don't have any options here.
USB receiver is very short and also has a compartment in the mouse beside the battery if you need to travel.
I don't use the software with it and it still works fine, nor have I personally experienced the clicking issue which others seem to have listed for it in my almost 2 years of daily use.

I have a couple of these and used to use the G602 before it was discontinued and replaced with the G604. I think it's a great mouse and I use it a lot for AutoCAD. I have come functions set as "tab forward" or "tab backward" (control page down and control page up). Also have one for close window (control W).
I'm not a fan of the wheel though. You have two modes: freespin and limited. Free spin is good for quickly scrolling or zooming but can screw you up if any of your buttons have control button first because it will zoom in or out completely in seconds. The limited is a bit difficult because it clicks and takes a while to get used to. Wish it was limited with resistance, not the clicking method.

I read somewhere there is a lighter version of this, but cost slightly more $$. Forgot the model though
Great productivity mouse. Software is unreliable though, especially on Mac. I use the onboard memory to save my macros and exit the software. Be warned that onboard memory isn't capable of saving complex macros.

Great mouse, I've had it for 2 years. I use it only for productivity, as I find it much too heavy for FPS games even using a lithium AAA with adapter (I use the wireless g303 for games). Considering picking another one up as a backup at this price
